I am concerned about Lambeth County Court, where at least one judge is willing to pervert the course of justice, where certain people (including a member of local firm of solicitors) are able to interfere with court records, and where certain business-people approach failed litigants with solicitations regarding their business or property - anything that would represent a quick profit. I have had various connections with that court for the past 35 years, and it seems to have got steadily worse - although it did let up a little round about 1990 for a short while. It was at that time that I believe Safeland PLC stopped approaching failed litigants in the property field (correct me if I am wrong) and a certain judge stopped sitting there, who was suspected of having shares in Safeland.

influence the outcome of a case, the judge responding most irrationally to secure an outcome for the signalling litigant.- the signal was one which is intended to show that the signaller needs help. The judge asked the same question three times in three different ways, received three different answers, and on the third answer declared satisfaction by finding in that litigant's favour 'in the light of the evidence'.
'Character assassination' has been a feature of some cases, with the judge deliberately mis-construing evidence - and in at least one case, where the victim has clearly pointed out flaws in a person's evidence the judge has plainly said to his victim - 'besides, I don't believe you' (this was only after a few attempts at creating the impression that the evidence was irrational or irrelevant).
There is also a faint suspicion that this particular judge may be being manipulated by threats of having his drugs supply cut off - simply because one of the people who seem to have undue influence in that court has in the past been involved in (and in some cases got away with) various crimes - one of those a drugs offence. As I have seen him many times, I can tell you that he continues to be involved in drugs in some way, and probably a few other things.
One satirist wrote an article on this subject in 1997, which is still there (www.othernews.co.uk/othernews/17nov97.htm) seemingly about a matter that was heard in front of judge Macnair, who was at that time still sitting there. There were one or two similar cases at that time.
