According to this story, David Kessler was fired as dean of the University of California at San Francisco's medical school because he called attention to $100 million that the school lost. Kessler says he was fired for whistle-blowing and that he has more documentation of financial irregularities at UCSF.

So what is UCSF covering up? If the $100 million went for bandages, that's legit. If it was stolen, we (citizens) need to know. UCSF is a top public university and needs to be transparent about its operations and problems.

This rumor will be true if evidence surfaces of fraud and/or theft.

If you know anything or anyone that can illuminate what happened at UCSF in 2003 (when Kessler discovered the money was lost), please post it in the comments section.
